I'm shocked nobody (unless I missed it) has got on their soap box about this being a kid of middle eastern decent doing a throat cutting gesture. It is a strange, strange world where some things are immediately racial and others aren't.
For the record, it has nothing to do with his background whatsoever, I'm just surprised it wasn't brought up that I have seen.
