Quote:
Jiri Hudler’s days at the Saddledome are likely numbered.
Question is, will it be a matter of months, weeks or just days before he’s heading to a new hockey home?
Set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, the 32-year-old right-winger admitted Tuesday that he’s had no talks on a contract extension with the Calgary Flames.
“I like Calgary — that’s the thing,” Hudler said. “So we’ll see how it works out.”
We’ve seen this scenario play out plenty of times.
Soon-to-be free-agents are always the most obvious candidates to change addresses prior to the NHL trade deadline, and if Flames GM Brad Treliving isn’t talking contract with Hudler, then you don’t need a wire-tap to figure out that he’s probably listening to offers on the reigning Lady Byng Trophy winner.
And why wouldn’t he?

Kind of confirms what McKenzie said last week:

McKenzie: "I don't think there's any chance that Calgary is going to be signing Hudler." #Flames
