That's not the only problem - you've got to do something with the waste at some point. Big deal in Ontario right now -

They are also extremely capital intensive to build. They cost a ton of money and time to build and it takes a while to start earning revenue. When the electricity market monopolies were opened up - it became very tough to get any plants built. No new nuclear plants have been built in a liberalized electricity market -
