LOL, I used to work in the sulphur industry, and we used to make 15t batches of liquid sulphur and bentonite clay.

Well, the process of starting and stopping the valves that fed the particular products into the batch tank was pretty monotonous, and all manual, IE, no alarms or anything unusual to indicate that you overshot it or something, other than the fact that you might have a huge spill of product on the floor (not good)

Anyway, we'd do like 15 batches on a 12hr shift, and since it was a fertilizer product, we'd be working from march to early june, straight through with no days off, so you would be pretty much a zombie through it all.

Anyway, there would be lots of times in the spring or afterwards, I'd be sitting at home, zoning out, or drifting off to sleep when I'd suddenly bolt up, and try to run out because 'I left the sulphur running' or some other stupid thing.

Always caught myself before I got to the door though, it was totally subliminal....

I can laugh about it now, but man, when I think of my mental state back then....

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
