I don't think taking Hall was bad drafting - it was a perfectly defensible decision. However, the weaknesses that he has as an NHLer were apparent as a junior player, and that is why some (including me) had Seguin ranked higher heading into the draft.
I didn't like Hall as a junior for the same reasons I don't like him now. He's a puck hog, doesn't make those around him better, is not a two way player and generally is a dummy.
Or to state more concisely: Derp.
