Top Gear is also a hit internationally because it's very quintessentially a British institution of sorts. Nobody will want to watch if there is an American on it. LeBlanc is not even an interesting celebrity or someone who is hugely into cars and you feel the passion like Jerry Seinfeld or Jay leno.
