Well he's got good hockey sense and defensive positioning. This is part of the reason Hartley trusts him. He does have the shot to be a 20 goal scorer at some point in his career this season. His skating is improved and is fine.

On the downside he is small and non-physical. Which means he doesn't match up well vs other teams top centres.

I'm torn on Granlund. I don't mind his play and I think he has more upside than he's shown. But overall I think his line hasn't been as effective and I think he lacks size to be an ideal #3 centre. I question his longterm fit with Bennett, Monahan, Backlund, Grant, Jankowski, Arnold, Stajan all at centre.

If he has some value I think Treliving maybe should use him as a trade chip before next season.

All that said he's 3 times more useful than Raymond was. Raymond hurt the team, hurt his line. Granlund is capable but not impressive.
