His AHL numbers are great but I haven't watched a second of his time in the AHL, as I don't have the time to watch that league. All I can judge is his play in the NHL so far, and I haven't been impressed, outside of his PK abilities. If he was a 25 year old on his second or third contract, I doubt he would have many supporters at all... he would basically be Paul Byron without the tenacity/hitting. He better hope he starts scoring otherwise he's trending to become a generic 4th liner/PK specialist.

What have you seen in the NHL that indicates he'll ever be more than a 20-25 point scorer? Please leave the AHL stuff out of it because I don't believe it's necessarily indicative of his NHL potential. Every time he's been up, he starts hot and then falls off the map. I'm open to being wrong about him but I just don't see a future top 9 guy in him at all.
