What is with some of these media guys who were trashing this players inclusion all along now going full throttle on the "feel good story" Kinda odd.
Personally I had no issue with him there. Haven't seen an All-Star game in years and watched a few minutes of skills competition and it was good fun.
Funniest part is some of these armchair hockey "expert" fans and media losing their cool over this thing and the real All-Stars like Kane, Jagr, Gio etc expressing nothing but support.
At the end of the day there were toddlers one the ice, players wearing masks, wigs, cowboy hats and goalies using guitars as goalie sticks. How serious of a hockey weekend was this suppose to be?? Some people giving serious hate to this guy and acting like he didn't belong in the building ! The irony is the people I know who were chirping this guy the most are the guys who can't skate, pretend their #99 on their weekend team and guzzle Biosteel sports drink to regain their breath after their 25 second shift.
The NHL better thank John Scott and others for what will probably turn into a ratings and media bonanza. I haven't seen this much hate or energy being expelled for an All-Star game since the invention of the FoxTrax puck system.
