The other guy you mentioned has his value at a low (Hudler) and it definitely does not make sense to move him ASAP. It makes sense for us to play him til he starts to play better and then move him at the deadline.
I get how you see it that way. Imo there is the possibility of trading these guys. Yeah Widemans value is low, however, on a team with good overall defense and numerous shutdown dmen he might not be so worthless.

Same with Hudler, maybe there's a team with power forwards but no setup guy. One teams trash is anothers treasure, instead of thinking rigidly Treliving should find a way to move these guys instead of holding out for max value, max value almost never happens in a scenario such as ours as we are not dealing from a position of strength.

I'm saying we should be taking lower valued players that serve the roles we are lacking in otherwise we're just going to watch all our UFAs walk. At least we got something for Iginla as opposed to nothing like with Camalleri.
