I use him as an example of someone playing poorly because he was legitimately bad overall and he is one of the few drafted prospects in recent memory that flamed out. If he wasn't legitimately bad, the Flames would have signed him.
I haven't watched him during this season, but he is putting points on the board, which should be expected with his offensive abilities. No idea how he is playing in his own zone.

I watched him some in his last year in Brandon and he was their go to guy on defence. I don't know why he didn't impress in the Flames camp but his lack of a contract probably had more to do with an over stock of defencemen in the minors than anything.
