Let's back up a minute.
One has to give players the benefit of the doubt that in the heat of the moment almost everyone might make a dumb decision. Like Keith. Who should have been punished accordingly. However, that the should be kicked out of the NHL is a completely different story as Keith is certainly not a repeat offender, nor is his ONLY purpose in the NHL to 'hurt' guys. Scott on the other hand is a completely different story, and the video evidence is all over Youtube.

Good question. How many has he hurt?

I mean, point me to three truly dirty plays by John Scott? The only one that jumps immediately to mind is the Eriksson hit, and he apologized profusely for it and seemed genuinely contrite. Maybe I've just managed to miss the myriad incidents of dangerous play involving this guy (as opposed to general hockey-tough-guy behaviour which doesn't actually send anyone to the IR).
Sorry, but the apology after numerous other incidents falls on deaf ears. Cooke also apologized and swore that he is a different person. Until he mashed someone else into the boards from behind.

Honestly, I don't even get why you guys are arguing about it. I could easily go find the threads about Scott where MANY people said he should be kicked out of the league because of his dirty plays.
