I know it's a Flames forum but I figured its FOI and bad news about other Canadian teams isn't too much of a boat rocking. These articles are correctly pointing out how bad Chevy is... and how mediocre the Jets have been.
It's nice to see the honeymoon for Chevy is starting to end.

Cheveldayoff saw injuries coming, they always do. And this is how he prepared?
Never mind the easy, 20-20 hindsight on letting Lee Stempniak go. Nobody could have predicted what he's doing in New Jersey.
But how about simply looking at what Stempniak did for the Jets last season – six goals, 10 points, in 18 games.
Why let that walk out the door, when you could have kept it for a song? Stempniak went into the Devils camp on a tryout and is playing for $850,000.
The guy wanted to stay, for crying out loud.
“I was hoping to go back,” Stempniak said in the summer. “But from what my agent told me, they were looking to give some spots to young guys.

Today the Jets are a broken team, sitting close to the basement in the NHL overall standings with 47 points in 49 games — well out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference and much closer to last place overall (four points) than a wild-card position (nine points).
They are near the bottom of the league in all-important categories like power play, penalty killing and goals against.
They lack depth at forward, are not getting the kind of performance they expected from their defencemen, and can’t find a way to play consistently enough to win as many as three games in a row.
