It is uncanny what Trump is doing. The only credible explanation I can come up with is that he had lunch one day with Nate Silver then commissioned 308 to do some in-depth analysis of what narratives will activate which voters on an emotional level and now he is systematically pressing those buttons. Through all of this he is mostly avoiding policy discussions therefore it's proving very hard to label him and back him into a corner. For all his other faults, an idiot Donald Trump is not.
