Hi all,

I know, another travel thread! I'm looking for advice on places to visit in Alabama or Mississippi. My initial searches haven't tossed up one thing or place that's excited me. I have to be missing something?

I will be in Nashville June 9th-12th for CMA fest and the planned to drive down to New Orleans before flying back to the UK.

I was hoping to spend 2-3 days breaking up the drive and experiencing the south. At this rate, I'm thinking I might be better off just getting straight down to Louisiana (other than a stop to take a few pictures of the mighty Mississippi).

Any and all thoughts appreciated on places to go, things to do etc.

P.S. I'll be with my wife, so getting some overalls, a bowl cut, and heading to a high school football game probably won't go over well.
