Wideman was careful to say during the post-game interview that it was "neck and shoulder" pain (which isn't out of the realm of possibility looking at the hit itself). No mention of having his bell rung, or that he did (or should have) gone under the concussion protocol.

The point still stands -- if he's pre-occupied with his neck/shoulder and isn't really paying attention, he isn't going to notice the linesman backing into him, or the play coming up ice right at him.

I'm probably more fascinated by how CP has been almost split 50/50 on this (although the "suspend him" group is starting to pull ahead). For all the people that are 100% certain it was intentional, there's an equal number who 100% disagree with you (or at least don't think he should be suspended).
