In other words, she worked herself up into a tizzy when she saw it, wouldn't listen to reason and flaked out over it.
The fact that she demanded he have it removed just smacks of a self centred nature.
The fact that he had it removed smacks of her crazy talk driving him over the edge.
I love my wife but if I was in the same position as this guy was I'm not sure I would respect her wishes on that one.
