That would be great, though I don't know if it is even legal to do the way yourself and CC propose. I also don't know if it would get mired in procedure and take years to implement even if it was legal.
What Albertans CAN do, however, which doesn't require our government to do anything for us (not like we are holding our breath hoping that they actually would) is to boycott goods coming from Quebec. Stop buying their maple syrup and buy Ontarian. Stop buying their Bombardier products, there are alternatives. Stop buying beer from their breweries. It might sound insignificant, but if every Albertan who feels slighted by Quebec's stance on this pipeline stopped buying their goods, it WOULD have an impact, and it would be a bigger one than a gov't imposed tax would.
