I like Ferland a lot but I don't think he's untouchable. If the right deal came along, I'd consider trading him. Gio won't be traded any time soon, for multiple reasons; I think he's the teams leader and he leads by example. He still seems to be battling an injury but he's still really good and when he's at 100% I think he's extremely good. Frolik just signed here and he's fit in amazingly, I think he can play second line or third line and not look out of place. I think Stajan gets a bad rap, he fills the 4th line role really well and adds a decent veteran presence. I'd rather get rid of Backlund than Stajan at this point because you'd get more by trading Backlund and I don't think either of them have a real future with the team. I'd also lump Smid in the same category as Engeland because they're basically the same IMO. Smid brings more in some aspects and Engeland in others and I wouldn't mind either on the bottom pairing. I don't think Wideman is useless, I think he's in a funk (a really bad one) but I still think he has value. I don't think it's a lot of value but I think BT will find a way to capitalize on that value.
