As someone who watches Barkov a lot I compare him often to Kopitar, except much better hands and vision. He's got all the tools to be a #1 center that can be a key piece for a cup winning team.
However, he has really only come into his own this year. Jagr has had a lot to do with his development offensively, coaching both he and Huberdeau at all times. Without the acquisition of Jagr I don't know where those two would be right now.
Honestly, this deal excites me a lot. Great value and they have him for another 6 years as he becomes the NHLer they always hoped for.
