No, I literally can't tell you if there was interest from teams in the East because I wasn't taking calls on Sharp. In fact, none of us were, so anything we say is speculation at best. Your scenario might be correct. It might just be that Bowman only got an offer from Dallas. It might be that it's somewhere in the middle and he made the call based on what Dallas was offering being better than what anyone else was offering. We don't know, so we can only evaluate it based on what actually happened. If I'm Bowman I still move Sharp to whoever to get some cap relief so I can keep Kane and Toews, since they are likely to do more him for years to come than what Sharp can do for the next 2 or even 3 years.
