Drouin is essentially locked into the Lightning for the next 7/8 years unless he forces a trade. He obviously feels like he can do better with another organization, but can't simply change organizations like most people can.

Oh, no doubt, very valid point.
That being said, you know what you're getting into when you make a career in hockey your choice.
To be clear, I understand why he may want a trade, just not the choices he is making to try and force it.
