It's just a different mentality... their odds of winning the league aren't all high but they are pleased to win a cup or have an exciting cup (playoff) run once in a while, or win the Championship level, or get to play in the champions league/uefa cup. I think lots accept that their team is a reflection of the economic and population base of their city, and someone living in Swansea doesn't have any expectation of their club being better than Madrid.
If there's anything to me that deserves the entitlement label, it's the North American sports fan's notion that their team should have a turn to win a title every so often or an amazing 18 year old player because they have been badly managed or supported. But anyway, going way off topic, happy to continue in the premier league thread if you want
