You see the changes at the pump a lot faster as the different stations will drop their prices to compete with each other.

In terms of the built-in fees for logitistics type stuff like transportation, services. etc. you are unlikely to see them retract any prices as they have near monopoly status on a lot of that stuff and don't need to drop prices to be competitive.

Airlines are more competitive and you might see some drops in airfare if a start-up wants to get a piece of the action with lower jet fuel costs and start a price war.
