For me, I don't really look at the team and instantly think "I wish this player was gone" as much as I think: "This team just needs a couple more pieces and some experience to start being really competitive".
Yeah, there are lots of players on the team that have terrible games - even terrible weeks. They aren't part of the core. To me, I just see 'temporary filler'.
I would feel much different if one or more of these players had a long-term contract. That would change everything in how I look at the team. So, from that standpoint, no one on the team REALLY irritates me.
For instance, Bourque REALLY irritated me in his last 1.5-2.5 or so seasons. Glencross started irritating me more and more because I was very apprehensive of him getting re-signed - but once it was announced that the Flames asked him to waive, he never irritated me any longer.
If the Flames were a contender, I would probably share the "I hate this player sooooo freakin' much". The fact that they are really just placeholders until a prospect goes and actually pushes one out, or when their contracts just expire (relatively soon) doesn't bother me at all.
And Colborne doesn't really bother me at all. He is still cheap, and at least he does have games where he outright dominates. Yeah, these are FEW, but at least there is something there that keeps me hoping. If not, I just know eventually the Flames will cut bait with him either through trade or just not re-signing him. So from that standpoint, he doesn't bug me at all. Just... underwhelmed too often by him, but I can't say I wish they booted him off the team.
