The Herald has been trying for years to sell or lease their monstrous building full of giant printing presses. The entire industry was designed for a different century. I read more compelling investigative journalism, introspectives, and human interest stories from people who post daily on Reddit.
I feel like the future of journalism is collaborative communities like that and here to an extent, where people collaborate to investigate interest stories or people in positions of knowledge and access leak information out to the web.
The leviathan of newspapers and print media putting ink on paper in formats that no human being can hold or read comfortably should face natural extinction.
