It seems you refuse to acknowledge that he knows exactly what is going on, thinks it will be fun, thinks he'll make some money going, and has the support of teammates.
And it seems awfully personal for you as well.

To an extent, I don't think Scott knows what's going on. I'm sure he knows that he'd make extra money going and that he'd get a few minutes of fame that wasn't involved with a questionable hit where he seriously injured someone. I just don't think he understands that it would be a bit of a black eye on the league, and if he does and he's going along with it it's somewhat disrespectful. Although some, very few, have come out and said that they support him going I wonder how many of them are saying it for the sake of saying it instead of really saying they don't think he should go and how many are just staying quiet because they don't everyone to know how they really feel. I'm willing to bet one of Duclair or Domi would much rather go in his place and I'm thinking most if not all of the people who support Scott going would be just as happy if not more to see one of the rookies who's a future star going.
As for it being personal to me, it kind of is. I enjoy the all star game and I was actually really excited to see Johnny lite it up and set some kind of record. I thought it would be even more enjoyable to see his team win and both Johnny and Gio get a little more recognition from around the league. I got excited at seeing the potential of Johnny playing with some of the best players in the world....and then all this. Most of the people who support Scott going are saying "who cares, the game is meaningless, it's a joke anyway, I'm not going to watch" and things like that. I take offense to that. I like it and I want to see something good, John Scott could be an oiler becauses hes so No Good. I know I'll get piled on for this but I know others agree that this is just another case of one group cyber bullying the other. The people who don't care about it are more than happy to ruin it or make a joke out of it because they just don't like it and could care less about the people who do like it. People are going out of their way to ruin something for no other reason that to take the joy of what should be a fun game away from others. Sure, if Scott played it would be funny but not the same, even if he only played one shift it would put his team at a disadvantage.
I honestly hate when people who don't care about something go out of their way to ruin it for everyone else or try to change into something it's not supposed to be in the first place. Feel free to throw up that crying face again but then ask yourself what kind of person you really are for ruining someone else's fun then making fun of them for it.
