You can go through the list of current All Stars and find other examples of guys who have been suspended or at least fined for head shots. Local superstar Shea Weber comes to mind. Is this the kind of player you want represented at the All Star game?

You can also look at the list and find examples of guys that have been vastly out played by others in the league and don't deserve to be there based on merit. Pekka Rinne and his worse than Kari Ramo save percentage come to mind.
What do Weber and Rinne have in common? They play for the team hosting the All Star game. Go figure. I'm sure whatever criteria used to place them on the team was far more legitimate than whatever lead Scott to become captain.
And who is the captain of the Central Team? Why, none other than alleged sexual assault artist Patrick Kane. There's another guy you have to think twice about if you're going to take a sanctimonious approach to judging players the fans have voted to All Star captaincy. But he scores a ton so you can overlook his faults, I guess. Same goes for Buffalo superstar Ryan O'Reilly. Another fine role model set to take the ice in Nashville.
