Like I said, if the NHLPA isn't all over this, it has no legitimacy as a union. This is exactly the kind of thing it's set up to prevent.

What's the NHLPA going to do? Scott was included in a trade and the new team is going to keep him in the AHL. Montreal is well within their rights to do so, and there is absolutely no way they could prove that this was done at the NHL's request. His contract is not getting voided, he will still be able to play hockey and get paid to do so. This is not a hill the NHLPA is going to fight for.
