I wonder if this means Volek is resigned to being a backup, or if he waived his no-trade clause just to get away from the Titans?
He shouldn't see much playing time behind Rivers. If Rivers was good enough that the Charges let Brees go (I know, shoulder injury, but that hasn't slowed Brees down so far), and Rivers hasn't looked out of place at all, so I can't see Volek seeing the field for anything other than an injury replacement.
