But yeah, the age of the Chiefs offence was certainly a big concern going into the season, and I think a complete overhaul may be in the cards this coming off season. Strangely the Chiefs who would seem a small market team went from being one of the NFL's more consistant playoff teams in the early 90's pre-cap era have become one of the leagues perennial also rans in the capped era where one would think they should do better.
Carl Peterson...step into my office because you're ****ing fired!
I also agree that I don't know why more NFL teams don't try angling the ball towards the sidelines. Pretty impressive to have that many punts and only that many return yards against.

I don't think Lamar Hunt will ever fire Carl Peterson. Before Carl started the Chiefs were a laughing stock averaging less than 30,000 people a game. Now the stadium is allways full and is considered one of the best, if not the best atmosphere's in the league on game day. That being said it is tough to watch this team sit there and spin its wheels year after year. There has to be patience anytime you have a coaching change. The fact that the starting left tackle pulled the plug on the team on the eve of training camp didn't help either. Not that the entire team needs to depend on one man. I have all the confidance in the world in Trent Green. He has proven himself time after time. But not even the greatest QB in the world can be effective when he is laying on his back. This team needs to be conservative, play tough defense and speacil teams, and not make any turnovers.
