I started buying raw denim a few years ago. I had a pair of Naked & Famous/Momotaro, Taylor Stitch, LVC 1954 501s, and recently, the Left Field Greasers. I still have all of them. If you rotate, and cautiously wash them, you don't really wear them out.

I love the mall-brand Levis, and the price is right, but I found that the denim only lasted around 6 months of heavy wear.
