that's your narrative and certainly not proven. many players have had their differences with a coach or city and after time it passed and they were not dealt.
in this case, TBY has no contract or regulatory pressure to make a deal. in fact the last player to put Yzerman in this predicament was Marty St Louis who had a full NMC and demanded a trade to 1 team.
you would think if Yzerman can make a good deal under those circumstances he will be pressured to deal Drouin for a poor return?
