But should personal opinion trump what's accomplished on the ice insofar as a jersey retirement goes?
I think it should be a part of it I guess but what he accomplished points / play-wise was so monstrous it really is an albatross out there for the Flames.
When you really think about what Lanny contributed to the Flames, vs. what Fleury contributed to the Flames- it really doesn't seem consistent with whose jersey got retired and whose didn't.
