No question the loss of Al Saunders is huge. It would have been great to keep him, but billion dollar baby Daniel Snyder would have proably kept upping the anti until he got Saunders to run the Skins offence. So not only is the head coach different, but so is the guy trying to run the offence and with the age of most of the Chiefs offensive guys trying to change systems isn't easy. But yeah, the age of the Chiefs offence was certainly a big concern going into the season, and I think a complete overhaul may be in the cards this coming off season. Strangely the Chiefs who would seem a small market team went from being one of the NFL's more consistant playoff teams in the early 90's pre-cap era have become one of the leagues perennial also rans in the capped era where one would think they should do better.

I also agree that I don't know why more NFL teams don't try angling the ball towards the sidelines. Pretty impressive to have that many punts and only that many return yards against.
