The Ferland thing goes back to the failed logic of the handful of people who always do the same thing when it's rumoured good players are on the trade block.
"Oh I'd love it if the Flames could nab _______, but only if we could do so without giving up (names the top 5 and in this case top 7 players in our prospect pool)"
Again I don't know why these people don't just start off by saying "I don't think we should give up what it would take"... because naming guys like Ferland off limits (and I like Ferland a lot) is ridiculous when trying to dream up a package that could land a player like Drouin.
