I can't believe how much Ferland is overrated by some. Since when is he anything more than a 4th line player? Don't get me wrong, he is good in the energy role, but he is not comparable to Lucic. When Lucic was around the same age as Ferland, he already had a 60 point (20+ goal) season and was in the midst of a 30 goal and his second 60 point season. Ferland has something like 3 goals and 11 points in 58 NHL games. I know he had set backs in development due to injuries and personal issues, but at this point he would have to have almost unprecedented development to reach Lucic's level.

I can't remember who it was (Kelly Hrudey maybe) who made the Lucic comparison in the playoffs last year, but I think it put unrealistic expectations on him. If he is considered a key piece in a deal for a prospect the level of Drouin, you take it no questions. It's a pipe dream to even think it's a possibility though.
