Except for a couple of short term moves I've been here 35 years this May but for some reason I still call Nova Scotia home. Probably sounds weird but I never really liked this city much, first 11-15 years I was only here because of work, last 20 or so I stayed because of the kids. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it, for a large city it's clean, good people, property taxes aren't outrageous but for me it just can't call it home.
I blame it on no ocean.
