I could see something built around a Bouma+Hudler 50% retained.
Bouma is on a good new contract, plays hard and would be a beast in the east no doubt and Hudler is an offensive option for the rest of this year and potentially longer if they want to keep him. That gives them their rugged winger along with a bonus offensive piece on a half off contract where they control what they want to do.
Only thing they need after that is a D-man. There is no way they get anyone of the big guys but they arent really looking for offense on the backend just a steady right-handed D and Engelland fits that bill. I think he's been quietly steady this year and he could be that RH D that they are looking for.
The last thing would be a prospect/pick combo. I dont think there is anyway they get a 1st in this draft year and I dont think they want to wait till the draft to trade Drouin so I think something like a 2nd + Hickey or Andersson gets it done.
We would need to take some salary back and could do so by taking Coburn's contract at 4.5 mill cap hit this season off their hands.
