Not sure I want Trevorrow either though. Jurassic World was decent, but didn't have a lot of substance. It would be awesome if they could just get a collection of top-tier directors to do just one each, even for the spin offs. I mean, what director wouldn't want their hand at Star Wars? Nolan? Boyle? Jackson? Blomkamp? Del Toro? Whedon?
I suppose they also have to be people willing to succumb to the tone and feel of Star Wars, rather than having their own take, so that may deter some.

Trevorrow has been announced as director, not writer. Jurrasic World had decent direction and cinematography, but suffered due to a senseless plot. The Star Wars trilogy should continue to have solid writing.
