I don't know who's saying to pass on him and I don't know if he's proven that he's "sublimely skilled" for that matter. Would you trade 3 first rounders for him? It's about how much he'd cost to acquire.
I don't know if there's anyone here saying that they wouldn't want Drouin on the team if he could be had for free or for next to nothing in a trade. I'm sure everyone here would say yes if they could trade Drouin for a 4th round pick.
The fact is that Drouin is likely going to cost a team quite a bit. I'd love to have Drouin on this team but I think the team would rather use the assets to trade for a guy like Hayes or someone else.
