You take Drouin still because he has so much potential long term. From a roster building perspective he is your long term Hudler replacement.
You can do:
Gaudreau-Monahan - RW
Drouin - Bennett - RW
And your roster just needs size on the RW. Hayes would be a good fit, and hopefully Ferland and Jankowski develop as planned long term to help out in the top 9. Maybe somebody like an Emerson Etem for the bottom line as well.
On the back end if you let Russell go at the end of the season that helps with the size issue, as IMO playing him 22 minutes per game is an issue due to the tendency to get hemmed by bigger forwards.
