I imagine Kimmy Gibler gets next to nothing. She's probably getting a few hundred thousand dollars, which would be a lot to someone on a university staff salary.
As for the Elizabeth Olsen thing, playing Michelle would be such an hilariously ridiculous career move. She's just starting to break out as a serious actor and probably wants to distance herself from the Olsen name as much as possible. Where do people get the notion that University Staff salaries suck?
If shes the assistant director of a University then a couple hundred grand a year in residuals is a very nice bonus to her salary.
Assuming its a decent University and not Greendale or something.
