Hrdina was actually a very good player. Got 54 points in 70 games for the Flames that year, playing mostly on the bottom two lines (!) with some PP time. Didn't come to North America till he was 30, but still managed to play on three Stanley Cup winners.
Hunter, well, he was there in case any Oilers decided to goon on the new kid. Didn't take long for Terry Crisp to figure out that Fleury could hold his own against any goon.
