"Military Grade" is just a marketing term, it's not an actual standard. Mil-spec or Mil-std are actual standardization terms used by the US military. And as Locke said, military spec rarely ever equates to highest quality.

In the end, just another marketing gimmick to feed the whole tough truck angle for all those manly men out there.
