Ramo has earned major props for turning his season around and frankly saving the Flames season. There were some suggesting that signing Ramo and creating the 3 goalie rotation was the day the Flames missed the playoffs. Not an unreasonable reaction given how bad Ramo and the team looked.
Now the entire season rides on his shoulders. But if it's me, I'm not re-signing him until the season is over and we see how he handles being the starter for most of the year. If he continues on current pace, I'm ok with a 3 year deal at $4 to $5 million per. I would still look for a veteran backup at $1 to $2 million per.
