McDonald didn't set the world afire at the WJC, but he's young and still a good prospect. Gillies is the man in the system, so hopefully his surgery recovery goes well, but assuming it does he's still 2 years away at least.
So what do you do with Ramo and a contract? I doubt he wants a one year deal again, but then I'm guessing the Flames don't either.

I still believe we should be trying the Ramo/Ortio tandem so give Ramo a couple year contract and wait it out.
It's a little frustrating as goaltending may turn into our Achilles heel as our team rounds into form in the next couple of years.
