I think Druin could fetch a 1st round pick from a team that heavily scouted him and thinks he has the upside but I don't see the value of trading a top 5 pick in this draft for him as there appears to be some players in that range with size and skill that more fit an organizational need over a small skilled winger. The Flames pick is up in the air right now and I wouldn't consider trading that for Druin until the end of the season as if they are drafting in the range of 7 or later I could kind of see it being worth it but I suppose it all depends on how much the team likes the players that they feel will be available when they draft. Too many factors which is why I don't see Druin getting moved until maybe the draft weekend.

Good points. I agree, I could totally see Yzerman waiting til this blows over a bit and near the draft or at, moving Drouin.
Imagine if Bennett wanted out and the best we could get is Poirier or Klimchuk.
Actually, as I type this.. You guys are all completely right.
If I had to move a Bennett type cause he wants out and in this case Calgary comes calling i'd want that pick. There is a chance it could turn out to be top 10.
I dont know if my logic to getting to the same place as you guys are on this, but my pain killers are kicking in. Thought process isnt so hot..
But from the outside looking in, why wpuldnt Yzerman want top assets (1st if he can) over guys that arent turning heads in the AHL.
But if that pick is 15-20. I thinks its as valuable as the afformentioned.
And.. Maybe I'm jinxing it all but without looking, wasn't Brodeur taken 15-18?
So by that logic.. I have no argument.
I'm out!
Good chat guys.
