A first round pick will always typically have more value than a player that was a former first round pick unless that player is considered special and has developed as envisioned by scouts. The Flames were lucky to fetch a 2nd round pick for Sven and does anyone think Jake Virtanen would fetch a first round pick today? I think Druin could fetch a 1st round pick from a team that heavily scouted him and thinks he has the upside but I don't see the value of trading a top 5 pick in this draft for him as there appears to be some players in that range with size and skill that more fit an organizational need over a small skilled winger. The Flames pick is up in the air right now and I wouldn't consider trading that for Druin until the end of the season as if they are drafting in the range of 7 or later I could kind of see it being worth it but I suppose it all depends on how much the team likes the players that they feel will be available when they draft. Too many factors which is why I don't see Druin getting moved until maybe the draft weekend.
