With every passing game he's looking more and more like a true number one defenseman, just so smooth and effective in the offensive zone. Just absolute goofball things were said about him and that trade earlier this season. I'd say "in retrospect" but I'd like to think most rational hockey watchers understood there'd be major struggles in changing teams, playing styles and conferences for a young player.
I truly believe this will be looked back on as one of the best/most important trades in franchise history one day. Especially with the way Brad recognized that the NHL has grown to a league where you rarely get star players in trades anymore and did what it took to get him.
